Weekly Wellness Tip - 10/21/2026
This week’s Weekly Wellness Tip is all about Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Breast cancer is the second most common cancer in women in the U.S., and the second leading cause of cancer death in women… BUT did you know that men can get breast cancer too? Though rare in it’s condition, it still accounts for 1% of breast cancer cases in men over the age of 60.
Routine breast cancer screens are so important as most breast cancers do not present with any symptoms such as a lump. Screening mammograms help detect the cancer when it is still small and curable.
Every breast cancer is unique, so determining the type of breast cancer, size and stage helps give the best determination for treatment.

Here are 5 Steps to help detect breast cancer early:
· Practice routine self-exams
· Know your risks and family history
· Visitor your doctor regularly
· Know when to get a mammogram
· Follow-up after a screening or test
With these steps in mind, BE AWARE, TAKE ACTION and WEAR YOUR PINK RIBBON, as we continue to spread awareness and fight against breast cancer.
